GeoRSS :: Geographically Encoded Objects for RSS feeds

GeoPress adds geographic tagging of your posts and pages. You can enter an address, points on a map, or enter latitude & longitude using the post interface. You can also include a map and the post location within the body itself to make it easy to geotag using emailed posts and desktop clients. Maps can be Google, Microsoft, OpenStreetMap, 3D globe, or any major mapping provider by using the Mapstraction mapping library. GeoPress also adds GeoRSS to your RSS and Atom feeds and also provides links for KML output for viewing in Google Earth and GPX for users to download to their GPS or Navigation devices.

Install GeoPress/WP (WordPress)

1. Download the zip file from from the WordPress Plugin Directory is available from the WordPress plugin directory.
2. UnZip file into the /wp-plugins/ folder in the wp-plugins directory of your Wordpress installation
3. Log into your Wordpress install and activate GeoPress in the Plugins page
4. Go to the new GeoPress tab and enter map keys for Google and/or Yahoo Maps and any other settings
5. Write a post, enter a location name, address, latitude & longitude, or click on the map to set the location

Install GeoPress/MT (MovableType)

1. Download the GeoPress for Movable Type zip file

Important, when upgrading from GeoPress < 2.3 (2.0,2.1,2.2), then you need to deactivate and reactive the plugin in order to update your database
